Overview & Highlights

Welcome to the culinary gem of Melaka, the Capati Kari Kambing. Nestled in the heart of Kampung Tambak Paya, this modest restaurant may well be your next culinary adventure. A haven for local food enthusiasts, it offers a delightful experience steeped in authenticity and tradition. With its handmade capati and rich, flavorful curries, it’s easy to see why it has garnered a loyal following over the years.

The charm of Capati Kari Kambing lies not only in its delectable dishes but also in its dedication to quality. As patrons like Mo Zaquwan have noted, this stall has preserved its original roots for over two decades, serving dishes that are both “sedap" (delicious) and authentic. Each capati is meticulously prepared, ensuring a smooth texture that harmonizes beautifully with their mouthwatering mutton and chicken curries.

While dear customers are forewarned about a wait time that can stretch anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes, the general consensus is that patience is indeed a virtue at this beloved establishment. As pointed out by That East Indie Guy, the slow-paced service is organized, allowing for a well-prepared meal that showcases the true essence of Malaysian cuisine. The delightful curries, rich in spices and flavor, are worth every moment spent in anticipation.

The reviews speak volumes of the restaurant's appeal. Customer experiences highlight the scrumptious nature of their dishes, with Chye Robin praising the wonderful pairing of roti jala with the robust mutton and chicken curries. Salim Dahalan echoes this sentiment, emphasizing the smooth, delicious flavors that can be relished while you wait. It's a testament to the fact that sometimes great things require a little patience.

For anyone traversing the vibrant streets of Melaka, a stop at Capati Kari Kambing is not just a meal; it’s an experience steeped in local culture and culinary passion. So, take a leisurely stroll, embrace the wait, and indulge in a plate of capati paired with some of the best curries Malaysia has to offer. Your taste buds will thank you for this delightful journey.

Perghhhhh If you love local food then create your own Lonely Planet adventure by exploring this humble restaurant which offers scrumptious curry.

Capati, roti jala, mutton & chicken curry are nice. Waiting time 20 to 40 minutes

It is a very nice capati stall in the area smooth and delecious chicken and mutton curry but you have to be pation waiting for your order because it takes sometimes for your turn to get it...but it is worth it...and dont missed to try it if you are in the area of Tehel, Melaka.

I know that the service are slow. Why I gave 4 stars: cos they had the courtesy to tell customers that the order are coming slow. From what I saw, they prepare the order by batch. Which also mean you'll get what you order in one serve: slow but organized. Doesn't matter to me cos the capati and the curry worth the wait: delicious! For Malaysian: stop being tight a*s and be patience!

Still the same loacation and same stall... as 20 years ago... sedap, original and handmade... for melakans cn try

Yummy Take-Away! We all loved it. Alhamdulillah Thank you.
